Introduction to the Egoscue Class (Function Fitness) • Increase your understanding of the human body and its relationship to correct posture • Learn an overview of e-cises and how to implement them What is an Egoscue Function Fitness Class? • A series of simple stretching exercises, both standing and on the floor. • These exercises are designed to bring the body back to its proper postural alignment. • The goal is to improve your posture and core strength. • This helps to alleviate chronic pain, enhance circulation, increase performance & restore overall health and well being. General menus are used. Recommendations for the Egoscue Class: • Read Pete Egoscue’s Pain Free and The Egoscue Method Health Through Motion Class Content: (45 minutes) 1. Introduction to the Egoscue Method 2. Functional Design and Posture 3. Egoscue Exercises called e-cises. After attending the Egoscue Class, you will: • Have an understanding of exercises and be able to use them on your own for getting yourself pain free • Understand Therapy/ Education process better |
